Ok guys, I've read enough, Why do you guys think noone buys single packs at Walmart, Kmart, target etc? Because scum like you all go and search all the packs. It is wrong, it is not nice, it is stealing. If they wanted you to know what was in the packs, they would tell you, if you want game used jerseys, then buy them off ebay, they are probably cheaper anyway than packs. Where are your morals?

my bad, I'm sorry I havent been here since August. I've been at bigger and better places. And I won't stop running mouth when questionable morals/ethics are involved. These people need to know that it is wrong and is not accepted. The secrets they sell on ebay are not just about think packs. They involve feeling packs which often bends and ruins the cards, all of which are left for the ignorant kid who walks into target and asks his daddy for a pack of baseball cards, and gets crap.

I suggest that if you two want to debate the morality of this thread you'd be better off doing it through PM's. Otherwise this thread's going to end up being just one huge argument, and up to this point it's really been a pretty good thread just discussing whether those auctions help or not. If you two let this turn into a big argument all that you'll succeed in doing is getting this thread locked and probably getting some sort of warning from the mods.

I have gotten damaged Game Used cards (creased around the gu) from unopened boxes too, but have heard that with certian Playoff brands with the dummy blank card that it is easy to slightly BEND the pack to see if the gu is in it. that will cause the crease as well. If it bends easily, theres the gu, if it doesn't it's a dummy. I choose to pass on that method...

I care more about being having morals/ethics and telling people this practice is not good for the hobby than getting a thread locked because pack searchers don;t agree with me.

I have never felt for cards or weighed or measured but I do look at them. I don't think thats any harm. I also look for packs that have ruffled edges, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes I have the old lady that works there pick for me. She's picked several nice things from time to time. Sometimes I perform an incantation that has never worked so i'm giving up on that one. But I truly don't believe that looking at the pack you want to buy is harmful, look, not handle. Slimmer packs might contain redemps too!!

I have to agree with Rodent. Please dont argue on the boards. I have watched this thread a few times and the closest thing to what I feel is actually pack feeling is something most people probly would not do because it will damage the card. I have a hard time believing anything else is pack searching because it involves line of sight.
