Zack I'm not talking about his cheap shots. I'm talking about the fact that Ovie continuously goes out on the ice and levels people with clean hits. BOTH of them take cheap shots. It's just that Ovie gets suspended for it.

As for the talking to the refs...thats totally different. If you watch crosby he just argues with them and pisses and moans about things. Not saying Ovie doesn't do it but if Ovie does do it, its WAY less than Crosby. Its the fact that Crosby needs to learn to control his emotions during the game. Crying to the refs will do nothing. Stating your point clearly and respectfully will. Its a huge difference between the two and its this difference that makes people call Crosby a baby.

finally, as for others complaining to the refs, those guys aren't superstars. I stated it before. Crosby is THE star of the NHL. he has a target on his back every night. He needs to learn that he's going to get hit and if he doesn't like it, he can go be a foot fairy and play soccer.

Soccer is more of a contact sport then a lot of sports bud. Plus it require a lot more stamina, and endurance then hockey. Actually soccer was probably the toughest sport mentally to play and I have played soccer, football, ice hockey, and baseball. An average game of soccer the players run and sprint over 10 miles! Plus there are more actual injuries(I know soccer players do act a lot, but that doesnt change all the real injuries) in soccer then hockey, and hockey players have pads covering thier whole bodies! Plus there are NO fans like soccer fans, I am sure you have seen lots of videos of crazy soccer fans! Anyways the point is dont rip on soccer.

Just a question, how does this give you new respect for Crosby? All he himself did was sign a jersey. It was the organization who got the jersey for him, not Crosby. I think it was a great thing for them to do but how does this turn into a credit to Crosby and how he is a class act? While I'm not a fan of Crosby, I agree that he is a class act off the ice. I just think he is not the most classy on-ice but that's a topic for another day. I'm just curious as to how this is a reflection of Crosby's class that's all.

    well lets just see....
2 straight years in the cup finals, winning the cup in 2009
has the tie for the goals lead, getting the richard trophy
second in points in the NHL

so HE IS the CLASS of the NHL ON THE ICE!!

First off let me say this from years of hounding experience. Almost anyone including Crosby could learn something from this man:

He signed until everyone (EVERYONE got a auto). I bet it took him over 30 plus minutes and his whole team had already gone. But he stayed behind and signed and signed. I never seen Crosby every do this in my days of hounding.

Here a crowd fro Crosby and Mario and let say they signed less than a half a dozen auto's. That not class to me. I understand you have places to go but so did Jarome and he stayed before the game and cut it shorter than most players would.

One example of a class guy on the Pens during Crosby rookie season was Mark posing with some fan who asked for a pic.

These yahoo's would not even sign autographs when asked:

Watch 30 second in the vid suckerpunch to a person head. That class act.

Jumping someone at a faceoff. That class act.

The scrum with the wings someone mentioned:

Crosby is a talented player perhaps the best in the game today. Just don't tell me he a class act. There so many more players from grinders to stars that put Crosby to shame by truly being a class act.

Gretzky and Gordie will always be hockey's ambasadors, Sid is just a punk forced to make nice and try and carry the legacy torch. He is an arrogant baby, just an example hence why you never see a Crosby dual auto with someone else he is too good for that VOMIT! And all you Sid lovers where were you before Sid came along were you 1 of the 3000 fans at the Pens games hahahahahaha of course you weren't.

Show me examples on the ice in vid's that give me a example of why I should respect him. I gave examples you just give me a quote. It always good to back up your arguments.

I think everyone who keeps bringing up the "Class" issue is just reaching to find an excuse for the dislike of a guy they just happen to dislike because they just do. I dislike a lot of players just because I don't like them. They rub me the wrong way. To make up some excuse to pinpoint Crosby as "Classless" when he's done nothing on the ice or off the ice that any player you would consider classy has or hasn't done. He acts like the stereotypical hockey player. He argues when he thinks there's a bad call, he gets upset when things aren't going his way, he makes bad decisions, he says things that sometimes he wishes he could take back. These actions in no way separate him from any other hockey player that has ever played the game. The only difference is, is that he's in the top echelon in the league based on his abilities.

Hate him because he's good, hate him because you don't like the way he looks, hate him because your girlfriend likes him more then she likes you, but don't make up some excuse that he's classless. It's just not classy.

he shook hands but after he was able to celebrate his cup win
come on, you just won your first cup and all hell breaks loose and the last thing you think about is going to center ice to shake hands with the losing team

I recall the wings taking there time to sahake hands with the penguins in 2008.

anyways, just curious who is you fav player/team

He never shook their hand, and the Wings took the normal time. I don't have a favorite team/player. I could say that my favorite player is probably Jordan Staal though.

Really? Every player does that? Did you not see the videos? It is okay to sucker punch someone? Must be a Todd Bertuzzi fan too eh?
