Votto's got a temper on him. He's been thrown out twice in the first inning this season. And I think he was tossed last season too in the 1st.
Though in Fairness to Votto, umpire DJ Rayburn was in the wrong on this one. Votto was making no visible reaction to the pitch and made no visible signs he was arguing witht he ump, and he was tossed anyway. He was certainly discussing the pitch with the umpire - but that happens all the time. It's stupid for an umpire to toss a player when no one else in the ballpark knows what's going on. The umpire's not being shown up, no need for an ejection.
