recent history points to Jersey getting knocked out early...
2007 - Blitzed by Ottawa in the 2nd round after nearly Blowing it to Tampa
2008 - Blitzed by the Rangers
2009 - Staal wins Game 7 with 1.6 seconds left in the SERIES.
and while it's 3 Cups in 15 years, it's 1 series win in the last 7 years... this is more worrysome if I'm a Devil fan.

Yeah lately it's been a disappointing post season every year. Being a Pens fan I am very pleased. :)

I thought that NJ would have been a really good team in the playoffs.

I'm not a Devs fan, but I watch a lot of their games. I predicted the Flyers would win this series, not so much because the Flyers are so good, but because the Devils have too many breakdowns and lapses. This was especially apparent toward the end of the season. And, Brodeur is no longer impregnable and capable of covering up mistakes. This is a team with a good nucleus, but in need of some more character and scoring, too.

i wonder if people are going to start wondering about Parise, Zajac and some their better players about not being playoff performers if they get bounced Thursday.

Its really time for a rebuild. It hasn't worked and you're about to lose your best player in Martin Brodeur. I say they just wheel him off and all the vets and stockpile picks and young talent. Because once Marty goes...they're doomed. Why not at least get assets out of it?

As much as I hate the Devils, I agree. They should get rid of him while they still can get something for him.
By the way, GO FLYERS!!!!l collect Philadelphia Eagles (NO VICK CARDS), Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia Phillies, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Tigers.
