I think they could use better wingers for Crosby, as well.

2 defensive D and one or two quality wingers.

Kovalchuk in Pens uniform sounds good?

I say put Malkin back with Crosby on the left wing, and find some other big grinder that can crash the net a play the boards on the right wing. Guerin is losing his step in my opinion. Need someone younger with a bit more jump and willingness to crash the net.

no way, he doesnt fit the style the Pens play...not that they couldnt use a sniper of his talent level. it wouldnt work for a variety of reasons

as for Fleury, its laughable how much the locals (see: yinzers) are piling on him.

No. No no no no no. WAY too much money when we have as many holes on D as we do. Volchenkov should be step 1. then maybe another winger or two. Get Tangradi and a couple others up here. The offense will take care of itself.

I agree. Volchenkov is a perfect fit for the Pens more than Kovy.

Reports are also that Volchenkov wants 5 million a season, which is probably why he won't be in Ottawa next season

Early next season will be key for MAF. Osgood had a shaky start because of the lost to the Pens, and he eventually lost his job. Not saying MAF will lose his job, but he needs to get out of the gate strong.

They had a good young goalie to take the job though, I don't see Brent Johnson being a better option then MAF
