These threads are stupid.

No one is making you trade with people, if others only want to trade for PC items, that sounds totally justified to me.

This hobby is expensive .... and most people focus their collection and collecting habits around the amount of money they can spend ... yes its only a buck or two to trade, but that adds up quite quickly.

If you want a Ritola Victory Rookie, then spend $3 and buy one on ebay dlvd.

The only part I agree with you is everyone having to "win" trades. Everyone wants Crosby / AO / Gretz / Toews / Kane / etc etc etc ... when they basically offer garbage in return. You just gotta learn to ignore those many people that offer garbage for gold.

One more thing that kind of goes with what I was saying before ... it makes me angry when people put so much value in their cards, and so little in yours. I get many PMs asking me what BV im asking for a card I have, but the card has a BV .... no im not trading something under BV because he is cold right now ... thats just stupid. Is someone going to give me more BV for a hot players ( example Stamkos ). How many "low ballers" here started to trade or buy Stamkos when his stuff was selling through the roof compared to his BVs. The amount of, why are you asking so much BV / cash .... the card is only BV xx.

Low ballers .... that is the thing this board can do without .... not people wanting to trade for PC

Why would I spend $3 on a 1BV card I can get FT if people didn't want so much more. I save my paypal for the HTG stuff, not 1 BV cards.

And it is annoying that people use "cold" and hot". You want double value on your Niemi just because he is still in the playoffs? Ok I will wait 2 months and purchase it when his value drops. Cold/hot is the stupidest reason to trade.

Plus BV are pointless to me. That is great that your card books 150 and so does mine, why won't I do the trade? Because my card sells for $100, and yours sell for $40. BV are a good guide for low-end stuff. But that is it.

when ever i trade with someone who has a pc item i need, but i dont have pc item for them, they always tell me they dont see anything in my tradelist they need. so when they say this i always tell them i could trade in there favor (ill be honest, my traders mean nothing to me cuz its not PC for me). with this, not only do i get rid of some traders, both parties are happy. he gets a trade in his favor and i get a pc item (or vice versa).

i think the whole point to trading is to find more PC items, or in general, cards you want.

now the only thing that kinda bugs me a little is how many people out there collect crosby and ovie. but hahahaa thats just my little complaint :)

I almost always 99.5% of the time only trade for PC only or sell for paypal. Why? B/C I don't care to have anything else in my collection. It's pointless for me to spend the $1.20 + shipping supplies to send you a card that you could get on ebay for $3.00 shipped. That's how I look at it. I only time I don't trade for PC is when I'm helping someone who I find to be a good person/member/trader and isn't in it for the money or other BS. I've sent Richard (RGM81) several cards for his Champs Historical Figures set and just told him if he ever finds anything CBJ just to send it over. I really don't care if I get anything b/c I helped out a good person in this hobby.

seems like people if they have dont think it is worth the shipping and everything for a $1bv card, i mean why not try making the trade with a few more cards like say 4 for 4 instead of just a 1 for 1 with a $1bv? i also help people when i can, have a lehtonen 1/1 with my ducks pc waiting for littlekane just so the card wasnt in some unknown place for when he has the funds or cards available for it.

I've faced the same problem on both ends. Theres been low end cards I've wanted and had more than suitable bait for the card but unless someone is getting PC/getting an insane return on a card, they won't tale it (generally speaking). Now, I tried to always get a card in the hands of a person who wanted it IF I was getting a good return. No, I'm not going to trade a $30 card for a few $10-$15 cards I really don't want and can't trade. Now if I can get cards that I can re-trade in return, I'd almost always take the deal. But there have been times people have just had nothing at all remotely interesting and I just tell em sorry and leave it at that.

I think post like this are truly counterproductive but that just me. Enjoy the folks you enjoy trading with and don't let others get under your skin. As other mentioned even though they might be getting a more valuable card if it not for the pc or easily tradeable what good is a UD YG. I have sold many for just a buck to move them. If i sent you the ritola card in a bubblemailer I would be out of money to help you (1.41) to ship and get a card I might sell for a $1. Of course as you say I could help you out. The reason I say enjoy the traders you enjoy as most traders won't help you out. Many traders are great on these boards and send stuff for nothing but in the end how many times do we play it forward by doing the same?

Also, I have a ud champ and I believe a Black Diamond of ritola not sure if you can use those.

And I am not saying EVERYONE is like this.. but come on a Ritola Victory RC for a common YG.. how is that so hard to get?

I got 3 2008-09 Upper Deck Victory 241 Mattias Ritola RC, I will mail one to you this week when ever I have the time to find it.
