No way you can say Santana, Mauer, Lincecum, Longo, Miggy.
Santana honestly does not have numbers near HOF right now. There are guys who are/were just as good that won't have a shot. He is good, but doesn't have big numbers to back it. I mean 125-62 is good, 3.17 ERA, and he's only 31. However, if he were to say stay with seasons last year (I know he was hurt, but still) he will end under 200 wins with an ERA more like 3.30, which most likely wouldn't get him to Cooperstown.
As far as Mauer, Longo, Lincecum, and Miggy, they are all too young to say yet. I mean if they are all to continue how they have been, then they are shooins to the hall. However, look at the guys who were even better than these guys at this age, and looked like shoeins too (Mainly Doc Gooden. Had seasons 20 times better than any of these players, and bam. It all ended). Now these guys could very well be HOFers of the future, but so might Strasburg and Heyward, and yet thew mgiht be the next Gooden. Only guys like Arod Griffey Jeter and other grizzled vets are "shoe-ins" for the Hall.

well if you ask me it's gonna be interesting to see what HOF voter do. Some number used to be automatic. For example, 500 hrs. But now it not as impressive, especially with the steroid era. Here are some guys I think are sure things and a couple bubbles. BTW Im going with the assumtion that by current you mean still playing in 2010. Obviously there are many recent retired players who are sure things in my book.:
Sure things:
Griffey
Arod (steroids aside the talent is there, is still think he's def in)
Pujols
Jeter (even tho as a Sox fan i don;t like him u have to respect the talent)
Rivera
Chipper Jones
Trevor Hoffman
Guerrero
Bubbles:
Thome(I think he should)
Manny Ramirez(A sure thing without the steroids thing)
Ichiro(just counting his MLB numbers hes a bubble, but overall a sure thing)
Todd Helton( again I think he should)

HOF picks:
Griffey Jr.
Derek Jeter (3000 hits will help)
Ichiro Suzuki
Mariano Rivera
Trevor Hoffman
Jamie Moyer (I think he's in)
Albert Pujols (might need a few more years)
Maybe's:
A-Rod (numbers are there but he used steroids. McGuire hasn't gotten in yet.)
Jim Thome (I don't think he will get in)
Chipper Jones
Manny Ramirez (again with steroids)
Vladimir (Needs a little bit more yet for Cooperstown)
Roy Halladay (needs a few more wins)
CC Sabathia (needs a few more wins)
Johan Santana (needs a few more wins)
Young Players that might have a shot if they keep it up, these are just guesses based on age and numbers so far.
Carl Crawford
Hanley Ramirez
Evan Longoria
Ryan Braun
Chase Utley
Felix Hernandez
Tim Lincecum
David Wright (numbers could be there if he was a more consistent hitter, unbelievable defender and fielder)
Ryan Howard (Has a WS and MVP, but the power must stay there for at least 7-8 years)
Mark Teixeira - Not sure of his numbers but sounds like he should be there)
Justin Morneau - (Has an MVP, but needs better numbers than he is averaging right now)
Miguel Cabrera
Joe Mauer - An MVP and three batting titles and a great catcher for young pitchers.
What about these players guys?
David Ortiz
Jimmy Rollins
Grady Sizemore (possibly in the future of course)

Magnificent5762 I see where you are coming from but one thing you should consider is Gooden was derailed by drugs and booze. I see no signs of these guys going down that road and all of them but Longo and Tim have put up extremely solid numbers for 6 or more seasons and should have no problem continuing that trend its not like they are a one and done thing like Barry Zito (sorry Zito fans). Also just because they are young doesn't mean much these kids where throw in the majors all young Miggy is what 27 in his 8th or 9th year at the majors. Mauer is 27 in his 7th year in the majors and we can both agree i would think that those two players have been beasts the whole time they have been in service at this level.

Kosmo - Disagree on Moyer, he is a classic compiler and his career numbers are still not all that impressive. As for the 3 you mentioned at the end I would say no to all 3. Rest of your guys I think you are pretty much right on with

if you say arod will be how can you not mention bonds, before steroids he was a hall of fame caliber player, and still steroids or no steroids the hr numbers he put up are incredible. weather you like him or not he had massive amounts of talent
