Obviously I think the 3 given ones are Griffey Jr., Jeter, and Rivera. However, A-Rod should be. Yes he used steroids but the difference between him and say a McGwire he had many years of great numbers without steroids. McGwire was all in the steroid era so who knows how long he did them. Who knows if guys like Thome, Griffey, Vlad, etc didn't..So hard to judge.

    HOF picks:
    Griffey Jr.
Derek Jeter (3000 hits will help)
    Ichiro Suzuki
    Mariano Rivera
    Trevor Hoffman
Jamie Moyer (I think he's in)
Albert Pujols (might need a few more years)

    Maybe's:
A-Rod (numbers are there but he used steroids. McGuire hasn't gotten in yet.)
Jim Thome (I don't think he will get in)
    Chipper Jones
    Manny Ramirez (again with steroids)
Vladimir (Needs a little bit more yet for Cooperstown)
Roy Halladay (needs a few more wins)
CC Sabathia (needs a few more wins)
Johan Santana (needs a few more wins)

Young Players that might have a shot if they keep it up, these are just guesses based on age and numbers so far.
    Carl Crawford
    Hanley Ramirez
    Evan Longoria
    Ryan Braun
    Chase Utley
    Felix Hernandez
    Tim Lincecum
David Wright (numbers could be there if he was a more consistent hitter, unbelievable defender and fielder)
Ryan Howard (Has a WS and MVP, but the power must stay there for at least 7-8 years)
Mark Teixeira - Not sure of his numbers but sounds like he should be there)
Justin Morneau - (Has an MVP, but needs better numbers than he is averaging right now)
    Miguel Cabrera
Joe Mauer - An MVP and three batting titles and a great catcher for young pitchers.

    What about these players guys?
    David Ortiz
    Jimmy Rollins
Grady Sizemore (possibly in the future of course)

i agree with your list, but arod wont get in..
mauer will get in, cabrera will get in, howard will get in, braun, longo, lincy, utley, and maybe hanley if he hustles (Lol) will get in.
thome- i dont see why you think he wont get in?
    manny took steroids.. no
halloday and chipper will definitely get in

I agree with the consensus for the most part, but not many people mentioned Omar. He deserves to be in the HOF.

I consider these guys sure things:
A-Rod, Rivera, Pettitte, Griffey, Pujols, Ichiro, Manny, Hoffman, Jeter, Sheffield, Smoltz.

Guys I'm pulling for (ignoring younger guys) and I think they all have a good shot at making the hall down the road when it's all said and done:
Vizquel, Abreu, Halladay, Vladdy, Beltran, Rollins, Thome, Chipper, Sabathia.

I wouldn't consider Pettite or Sheffield 'sure things', although they might get in I don't believe either will be first ballot.

I think arod is in even with the steroid use. comparing him to McGwire is a little off base. McGwire is a tweener with his stats. I don;t think it was just his roid use that kept him out. I do think that the writers will do something like not vote him in on a first ballot or something, but he'll get in.

here's my if they retired today they are in list
    Jeter
    Griffey
    Arod
    Sheffield
    Ichiro
    Smoltz
    Rivera
    Hoffman
    Pettitte

Pujols still needs a few years but he's pretty much a lock.

I don;t see Moyer even getting a sniff at the hall. Good pitcher, great longevity but not a hall of famer.
