    Newb question

ok don't slam me I don't collect basketball or even watch it. I do into some from time to time. I have no idea how to judge the year forlisting them. Let me try to explain a little better. Say I have a kobe bryant sp authentic card # 35. in my software"the card collector" it lists it under 2003. The copyright on the card is 2004. the year of stats is 02-03. Would this card be 02-03, 03-04 or what ? What type of formula do you use on basketball ? i know baseball being all in one year( basically) you simply add one to the last line of stats, so a stat line of 2008 would be in most cases a 2009 card, is there something like that for basketball.
If this confuses you, join the crowd it does me also.

I Believe 99% of the cards list after 95-96 were listed like this:

If you look at the back of the card in the 'SMALL PRINT' where you see the company legal info.. i.e. Company name..and tradermark.. you'll see a YEAR. You take the year you see and the next year..and that's your year.

If it says 1993...then it'll be from 1993-94 release.

    Hope that helps.

If it is just a base card, look for the latest year of the stat. If it gives you 2002-03 stat number, it is 03-04 product. I hope it helps you a bit.

Or you can always refer to becket.com for more information.

Sorry, I don't think this is correct. The year on the back should be the year the card was made, which could be the fall of the first year or the spring of the second year.

Your card would be an 03/04 card.

i dont think it set in stone. i remember some cards that do 1995 on the back. it can be either 94/95 or 95/96. i just looked at 2 of the closest cards next to me and these are whats on it.

    2002

    it actually is 02-03 product

    2009

    09-10 product

takes a few seconds to jump onto beckett... no need to guess. Trust me ive spent hours looking at the small print on the back of cards to realize its just a waste of time... lol

yep, just add a year to the last year's stats listed and you'll be good to go. They did list partial year stats a long time ago but if the stats are for 02/03 its an 03/04 card.
