Every time this ever happens, all card companies say the same thing. general procedure. It sucks yea, but its nothing extraordinary.

Would recording your breaks be beneficial in these situations? Showing you unwrapping the product and not pulling that card?

Yes, recording your breaks is very helpfull in the process. I have had a few issues with Panini, UD, and Topps before and I always record the breaks and send them a link to the break after I post it if necessary. I don't see a problem with the box top, receipt, and letter explaining the issue/what is missing, but the empty wrappers is a little out there. I have never had them ask me for those before. Anyways good luck with your replacement and future breaks!!!

Here’s my theory… they ask for all the packs because they can scan them and see if the pack did or did not in fact have an auto or relic etc. With that said, they can scan the box upc and see if all the packs sent to them came from the same box.
But again, it’s just my theory…
