Thats a pretty nice card. Thankfully it wasnt that expensive.
What he should do is: Run to the local dollar store/hobby store and buy toploaders for like 10 cents each...

Adding on to my last post...I have a feeling that maybe the card was damaged before? I cant assume anything, but maybe that was what happened?

I hate it when that happens... I bought a card from a seller on eBay the other day and it came today... PWE, wrapped in paper.
Luckily it wasn't damaged.
Recently I got a card through trade that was terribly packed - PWE, no protection at all. Ended up having to get another one as my dog got it. Had to buy another one at over £10
