I'm surprised nobody mentioned Ball Four by Jim Bouton.
In case you don't know what it is about, Bouton chronicles his 1969 season with the Seatle Pilots and the Houston Astros, and also talks about his time in the mid-60's with the Yankees. It was considered the first 'tell all' book written by a baseball player. Back when he wrote it in 1970 it was considered controversial, as he discussed what baseball players really do and talk about in the clubhouse, during games and after games. Bouton also wrote a couple of follow-up books which may be harder to find.

I picked up a book in San Francisco airport on my way to Miami. It was the Josh Hamilton one: Beyond Belief. Very good, talks about his entire life, dominating at an early age, being the can't miss prospect, having the demons that nearly took his career and life away and then finding a way to get back out. I'm not a Rangers fan or Hamilton collector but it was a very interesting read
