How Much Do You Spend On Cards?

This thread came up last year I think, but Id like to throw out this question again. How much do you spend on cards per month, or per year.
For me...I make 3-4 deals per week, so shipping is about $5 for the trades. I buy cards maybe 1-2 times a month. So I spend about $15 there. I spend about $30 per month. Iv saved up quite a lot of money, but only have $27 left for cards, so I wont be spending a lot in the next few weeks or so.
30 X 12= $360 per year. Maybe a little less than that. Probably about $200-300 per year. I save quite a bit of $$$ since I almost never buy boxes/packs. You get only 4 hits per box on average anyways, so I might as well not spend $100 on a box. Yes...it is exciting opening it up, but if you dont get a hit, then you pretty much feel ripped off. But dont get me wrong. I think the base cards in most boxes look cool.

Normally I do not put numbers on this type of information, but let's try here. I would say anywhere between $2K-$10K per year, it depends of the cards that I can find for my collection, sometimes I do cash/trade deals to upgrade my collection, so difficult to put a "fix" number of fresh money spent on average per year. I do not buy packs/boxes. In 2009 I would say I spent $7K on my collection (I did not "invested" $7K!; I consider these days cards as an expense, pretty difficult to make money, most likely to break even sometimes), it was a good year finding cards from previous years that were newly available on the market. This year it clearly sounds it will be less than it was in 2009, less quality products made to date as I collect 1/1 cards, mainly of Patrick Roy.

for me?? i spend an average of about $4k to about $9k a year....i open a lot of boxes during the course of the year..not including the cards i buy and sell during the year

Thats a tough one. If I was able to put a number on it Id probably be pretty angry at myself as I know its certainly higher than it should be. I definitely dont spend nearly as much as a lot of people on here but Id still have to guess I spend around 2-3k a year. Just typing that is painful lol

Tough to say......I was out for a long time, but I'd guess that in the last eight months I've probably averaged about $1,200 per month.

i don't pay for shipping or bubble mailers(I know people who i can get them free from). but on hockey cardsd probably $20 a year lol. unless i buy boxes then ya $20 a year would be right. but not very often i buy boxes(probably why i have no traders lol.)

Without ebay, I was spending about 40$ per month. With ebay and paypal, about 120$ a month, or more. Seriously, I don't wanna know how much I spend because I know I could have put that money somewhere else! lol

scary to say probably 400 a month or so but its not wasted as i probably sell around 600 or 700 a month

I'd probably throw up a little in my mouth if I actually thought about it. I average around $400-$500 a month or so I imagine.
