growing up I always said coke to mean a soft drink and it seems to be the popular term in Indy. I don't drink them that much anymore, but probably use coke and soda about the same these days. I've never said pop and never will. LOL

Soda here, hard to tell from the map what it says for my area as there are lots of colors there.

I'm in NC and it's definitely "coke." But when I was growing up, one of my best friend's mom was from Michigan, so they all called it pop. It took several times going to their house to understand what they were saying when they asked if I wanted "pop." Crazy yankees!

In SW MO, despite there being a Southern influence, people around here frequently say "pop." It's like being in MN all over again (Nathan and his friends notwithstanding, lol). In TN, everything was a "coke."
Personally, I call the drink either by its actual name, or I use the completely generic term "drink."

In Cali... I called it Soda or fizzle for slang
In Wisconsin - I still call it Soda, but notice others here call it pop, so guess the map is dead on

My area is right on the money. We don't use pop or soda. We do hear pop and soda used by the Winter Texans.
