Habs Fans: Who Should Be Captain?

Let's have some fun.

After going through a season without a captain for the first time in franchise history, it is time to appoint a successor to Saku Koivu. There are a small handful of names that get bandied about and I will post them all as options for voting. If you think it should be none of the above, I have added an "Other" option as well - please give the name you think should receive the vaunted C and of course....

I'm by no means a Habs fan, but Gionta showed alot of leadership and heart from what I saw. I like veteran captains unless a young player shows an immediate affinity for the role ala Toews, Richards. Pick a guy players can respect and who is composed with the media who can represent the team with class.

Gionta or Cammalleri would both be solid choices at this point.

I'd go with Gorges. He's young but he's a huge part of the team, he steps up for his teammates, won't take a shift off.

My second choice would be Gionta followed by Gill.

I went for Cammy, because of the class he has when dealing with the press, how aware he is of the cultural reality in Montreal and how he coped with such an awful injury before coming back even stronger and stepping up big time in the playoffs.
