    Who's gonna win ROY

Who's going to win the AL and NL ROY award?

The AL has considerably less to choose from in my opinion. Possible candidates (let me know if I miss anyone)

    American League:
    Brennan Boesch 13r 6hr 28rbi 1sb .340avg
    Austin Jackson 36-1-14-8-.318
    Justin Smoak 20-6-20-1-.215

    Brian Matusz 2w 57so 5.10era 1.58whip
    Wade Davis 5w 39so 5.03era 1.53whip

The NL is really tough to pick with the emergence of Strasburg. All these guys are playing really well right now other than Heyward who started off red hot, and has since cooled down (let me know if I miss anyone)

    National League:
    Jason Heyward 32-10-40-4-.269
    David Freese 25-4-32-1-.311
    Ike Davis 28-7-19-0-.260
    Buster Posey 5-0-4-0-.444
    Starlin Castro 11-2-13-1-.280

    Jamie Garcia 5w 55so 1.47era 1.23whip
    Mike Leake 5w 50so 2.22era 1.23whip
    Stephen Strasburg 1w 14so 2.57era 0.57whip
    John Ely 3w 39so 3.00era 1.06whip

    you forgot a couple
    Ike Davis-NL
    Mike Leake-NL
    Justin Smoak-AL

I would probably give the early edge to Austin Jackson and Jason Heyward. It's possible if Smoak can keep it going he'll be right up there with Jackson too. In the NL you can make a case for Ike Davis, Heyward, Leake and you probably wouldn't be wrong with any of them.

Strasburg i don't even put in the discsussion, he needs 13 wins atleast especially with Heyward on pace for 100 RBIs and 20+ HRs..

In the AL Matusz has an ERA of over 5, he wont win or be in the discussion, same for Davis...

Jackson has cooled off big time and Boesch continues to rake, i'd go with Boesch at this point, hitting .340, 6 HRs and 28 RBIs and he missed the first 3 weeks!

Oh wow.....can't believe I forgot Ike Davis, lol. He's hitting cleanup for the Mets I believe. Smoak started off really slow and is starting to pick it up. He can definitely make a run at ROY if heats up...especially since the competition isn't as stiff in the AL.

I agree Heyward is the definite favorite right now. But he's slowed down considerably. He's hitting .156 in the month of June and has 2 rbi's in 32 June AB's. But there are a lot of good rookies in the NL. If he goes at that pace for a full month someone will pass him.

I think Strasburg can get 10 wins with a 2.20 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 150 SO's. If he gets there he'll probably be the front runner.

Looks like I also forgot Matt Wieters in the AL!

Smoak will likely get screwed even if he does heat up. Andrus definatly did last season. No love for the Rangers. Understandably so though.

Does the team record count for ROY like it does for MVP? If it does, Wade Davis gets and edge, and so would Leake and Heyward.

You're right, and that just makes the AL have even less to pick from!

Just so I can make my point for the AL ROY

    Brennan Boesch- .341 BA, 6HRs, 28RBIs, 14 Runs, 1 SB, .385 OBP, .621 SLG, 1.006 OPS

    Austin Jackson- .318 BA, 1 HR, 14RBIs, 36 Runs, 8 SBs, .361 OBP, .429 SLG, .791 OPS

    Brian Matusz- 2-6, 5.10 ERA, 57 Strikeouts, 1.58 WHIP, 67 innings, .295 Opponents BA

    Wade Davis- 5-5 5.03 ERA, 39 Strikeouts 1.53 WHIP, 59 innings, .271 Opponents BA

    Justin Smoak- .215 BA, 6HRs, 20RBIs, 20 Runs, 1 SB, .340 OBP, .378 SLG, .717

I know it doesn't effect voting but Boesch has all them beat by a long shot and the kid didnt get the call until the end of April, the bottom 3 guys right now have absolutly no shot and aren't even in the discussion, even Jackson is really struggling, Boesch is in a one man race right now, if anyone can prove me wrong, i'd love the arguement, because the bottom 3 guys stats are horrid
