Another Numbering Issue? 02 Kobe Buyback!!!
I feel like Alabamaslamma from the Jordan auto thread right now. I just picked up the Kobe Buyback auto 1/1 below. But then I'm looking around and see the one numbered to 88. The Kobe autograph appears to be a legit auto. I'm confused. The numbers are in different places. I guess I'll send it to Beckett to see if I got screwed or not. Anybody know anything else? I'm almost sick to my stomach right now.

No need to be sick. I have seen another Kobe buy back (different card) that they did something simular to. One was numbered to like 160 & there was also a 1/1 veriant.

Oh thank God....I was literally getting nauseous. If this is true, I'm pretty fired up now. I got a Kobe 1/1 for a HELL OF A DEAL!

Super- nice card, but what was the reasoning to differentiate your card as a 1/1?

the buyback pobably came a different year or product (ex: 00-01 Ultimate had the /88 veriation & 01-02 SP Authentic had the /1 veriation)

It's numbered 1/1 to the left of his left foot.

u gotta forgive montej1695... he has a hard time seeing numbering on the front of cards... especially when its located near the players foot

Im sorry but im with montej1695 on this one, they both have COA's from the same product and the same series. They are both the same card except one says 1/1. IF this 1/1 turns out to be a fake i reckon what they have done is fake the sig on the same base card put a 1/1 on there and used the sticker and COA off one of the #/88 ones to make it look legit.
Always check with UD before you buy a buyback there are too many scammers out there

I thought this too at first, but they could be from two different upperdeck products. After some more checking, I found some other UD buybacks that were inserted into one product like Ultimate Collection and then the same card numbered to a different amount inserted into another product like Ovation.

Im not 100% but the COA is exactly the same so looks like its from the same product. Maybe talking to UD would be the best bet to clear things up for yourself. If it was my card thats what i'd be doing just to be sure i wasn't ripped
