You mind scanning your COA when it comes in? If yours was from a different product (which I'm leaning toward no), then it would state a different product than 2001-02 Upper Deck Series 2 (like 2001-02 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection, etc). Seeing as how they're the same, I don't think they're from different products, and it's unlikely that they use the same base card for different versions of buybacks in the same product. But the COA may read differently; if it doesn't then I'm going to have to side with "fake" unfortunately.

This makes me feel much better. Just found these on ebay. Same card. From the same set. One numbered to 27. One numbered to 29. With a nearly impossible to fake signature (Griffey has the prettiest signature out of any sport).

To further my point, the left one is for sale on ebay. The right one is for sale in the high end section of this very site. (they are both regular sized cards)

Another thing that makes me feel better about it is that nearly all of the fake Kobe buybacks I've seen have this signature (probably all made by the same guy.)

I'm going to get it graded/authenticated once it arrives, so I'll let beckett have the final say.

I just got it in the mail.
It's freakin sick! The card itself has a bad corner, so I'm not going to get it graded. They won the title since I purchased it so I'm thinking about putting it back on the bay to see if I get any bites.
