Regardless, both teams played exceptional. Definitely one of, if not the best Finals in a decade or so, IMO. Kobe is near unstoppable, if it wasn't for him I highly doubt Laker's would have even made it to the finals, he does A LOT of carrying of his teammates (probably about 85% of all season games)For Kobe Game 1 30 pts, Game 2 21pts(Gasol lead G2 with 25pts, Game 3 29pts, Game 4 33pts, Game 5 38pts(!), Game 6 26pts, Game 7 23pts. Now the Celtics, about 5 different players contributed to be the top scorer of the 7 games, for the Celtics Game 1 Paul Pierce 24pts, Game 2 Ray Allen 32pts, Game 3 KG 25pts, Game 4 Pierce 19pts, Game 5 Pierce 27pts, Game Ray Allen 19pts, Game 7 Paul Pierce 18pts. I just got side tracked and I think im still drunk from last night. Gratz LA and good hustle Celtics (although you had many looks and just blew it). Atleast we still have the Draft to watch...

I think your selling the Lakers short, Kobe did alot sure, but this series proved he needed his teammates to win and that he couldn't do it himself, without Pau and Bynum (early on) I don't think the Lakers would've done much in the playoffs..
Anyways its a good day in Detroit, it was more of a 'who do you want to see lose more' and Detroit wanted to see Boston lose

I'm just trying to make a neutral convo here. Of course it wasn't solely Kobe, he needed the others for D?, or did he. Pau Gasol on the other hand, he made me nervous in this Final. Yes your right I do have to give Pau and Bynum some credit, but cmon now, A lot of those guys got carried to a Championship win, on the other hand if C's took the Championship it would have been an all around equal contribution from each player. Oh before I forget, props to Sasha for those 2 foul shot at the end, maybe he won the finals? lol ok im done talking I need coffee.. Done with the finals talk haha I am going to hear the rant and raving at work fml.. Sad day here in New England, we are all cursed this year, BoSox Bruins Pats and not so much Celtics. Have a great summer guys, cya in about 3 months for a new season.

Predictable outcome from a predictable sport. Makes wrestling look real. Glad I watched soccer instead because you never know how those matches will turn out . . .

Congrats to the defending LA Lakers. For those of you who saw ahead of time, the title above my username has been LA in 7 since the end of the Conference Finals.
I didn't even sit down to watch a full game, so I can't say much. Guess I just lost interest a little what with exams in school and what not. But it had some intense moments. This just proves Boston needs to rebuild. Allen is questionable, but I don't think Boston should even panic right now.

You're giving Kobe too much credit. Before Pau made it into town and Bynum developing into a usable player, Kobe was "carrying" his team to a
34-48 record (04-05, didn't make playoffs), 45-37 record (05-06 lost first round), 42-40 record (06-07, first round lost again). He had pretty much the same core of players except for Pau, better Bynum, and Artest/Ariza in those losing seasons. Conclusion: Kobe carries his teammates as much as his teammates carry him, team effort, just like the Celtics.
If anything, Kobe choked at the one thing he was suppose to be the best at during game 7 - offense (bad shot selection, couldn't find teammates, turnovers). If anything, his teammates carried most of the load in game 7 and helped him to a 5th ring.
