Boston shouldn't panic, but should pretty much give up hope for any championship aspirations for the next 5-10 years.

I didn't know grabbing 15 rebounds was choking? He wasn't shooting well so he tried to do something else to help win and he sure did. That's not choking.

If you read closely, I said he choked on the one thing he was suppose to be the best at, offense. He was pretty weak on the defensive end as well, gave up many open shots for Allen, 1 stl, no blocks. But Kobe, being the smart player he is did what any good basketball players would do when they can't get it going: hustle to grab boards, get to the line (he was able to get to the line so much more because of Boston's stupidity and horrible defensive plays than his own brilliance) . Both of those things contributed to the Lakers victory.
Yes, but imo, he still played a pretty bad game in one of the most important games of his life. Maybe he was trying too hard to be the hero.Last edited by whalechaser; 06-18-2010 at 01:22 PM.

Yes, i misread. Yup he was trying to hard, but we all forget how hurt he's been too. It's amazing that he could perform like this the entire season.

Yup gotta give props to him for being a warrior, playing with that messed up finger and all since last season, he really should take some time off to get some good rest.

That wasn't the prettiest game I've ever seen, but it was definitely the most intense!
Congrats to the Lakers for bringing it home! it was a hard fought series. I'm glad we came up on top and got our payback on the C's, but I also give them credit for coming out and playing hard.

refs ripped off the USA today stealing a goal in a remarkable comeback to steal a hard fought victory from the USA.
Kinda how Boston was robbed last night. Up by 13 on the road until the refs started blowing whistles and calling a bunch of fouls. 21 free throws for the Lakers in final quarter.
Boston beat the Cavs, Magic forced game seven. Shut down the other teams best player in that game and still lost at the free throw line????????

I seriously can't believe a Celtic fan is going to complain about the refs.... Did you watch any of the other games, get out of here with this crap. Maybe when you attack the basket in the 4th quarter, you're going to get calls.
You're Celtics were just too old to compete and they were showing that last night in the 4th quarter.

Boston was not robbed at all. I hate the Lakers more than anyone, but they won. You can blame Allen missing a bunch of open shots, you can blame the Celtics offense being stagnant for much of the second half and relying too much on isolation plays, you can blame their horrible defensive rebounding and not boxing out (though they were pretty outsized), you can blame the Celtics for committing stupid fouls in the second half,
but everyone knows the refs in the NBA sucks, winners win despite any crappy calls against them, to blame the refs for your team not being able to overcome ANY obstacle to win the game is just kind of eh.
Honestly, I thought the game was called pretty reasonably compared to many other games during these playoffs.
