NHL Draft - Let the picks and trade talks begin!

Since we're less than an hour from the draft, I figured we should have a thread for this exciting event.

As an Oilers fan, I'm excited to see who the Oilers go with. I'm guessing it will be Hall, but I'll be hapy with Seguin. Looks like there are a few rumors heating up including Keith Ballard possibly going to Vancouver.

ya. I heard about the Ballard talk. Hope he goes. I doubt the Canucks will really get anything from their forst overall pick, and Vancouver needs some defence.

I also hear that Vancouver have put in offers with Chicago for Ladd and Versteeg, which I can believe but I also heard about Volchenkov and Semin, which I don't. As for Keith Ballard, I would really like as the Canucks could really use better D-men.

TSN just reported that Ballard has been traded for Steve Bernier and Vancouver's 1st round pick.

Edit: Dreger is now saying it's just a reported rumor.

I REALLY hope they can find a team to deal the #23 pick to for a Center or Defenseman....

I would not mind Keith Ballard back to the team that drafted him... and if you have to add Drew Stafford, fine.

I'm hoping the Oilers land Florida's #15 so we can draft Dylan McIlrath at that spot. I'm okay with moving Penner, simply because he's going to leave come free agency.

Taylor, Tyler, it doesn't really matter to me. Both are and will be fantastic players that you can build a franchise around. In terms of current talent, I think Hall is a bit ahead. However, Seguin is a really charismatic guy who players would love to play with.
