I do think some sellers need to just take the average. Take out the highest and lowest sale, than average out the rest, and there is your asking price.m It is ridicolous when a seller wants $100 for a card that sold at $76, $81, $85, $87, $89, $91, $100.

I agree with you on that, unless it's regarding an auto patch or any patch in general because alot of people will quote you the last e-bay sales on 1 color patches and then expect to get a 3 color patch for the same price. Besides if you really want a card you buy it and if you don't want it for any reason just pass on it. Really very simple, no one's forcing anybody to buy or sell on here.

no
Sometimes people get steals on Ebay but why would I pay a price for a card on SCF when they could get the same card on Ebay. Where they have buyer protection and can earn ebay bucks...I think if it is a card I can find all day on ebay for 40 bucks which your manning probably isn't then it should be sold for less on the forum.

quoting ebay prices are kind of tricky, alot of the prices on cards can be skewed.
Example: Spelling players name wrong in the title and description
I bought a Santana Moss dual patch from 07 LL, got a STEAL because he spelled is name "Santa" Moss.
Example: Time the listing ends.
I am up at 2am every day for work, i go in at 3am so i have some time to surf the "ending soonest" cards.
Also I find you can get some CRAZY STEALS on Holidays (4th July night) Day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, etc. Also ppl who end the card at 10am. Thankfully i work in a place where i can jump on ebay for a few mins at a time.
SO with all that being said to get an average price is the best way to go, IF you can find multiple ended listing of that certain card, BUT if there is none completed THEN WHAT?

My favorite is when people want OVER ebay prices. I was in talks about buying a card the other day and the card ended at $12 and $14 dlvd and the guy wanted $22 and would not budge on it. It is rediculous but hey its not my card so I have no say in the matter.

See on here i notice a lot of clowns that want to buy well below ebay. When they start looking to sell they want more than ebay. I'm all for making trades but I'm not help pay someones mortgage with the way some want to trade around here. Once you show a low sold auction of a card thats not too hot or someone got a deal then the seller doesn't wanna sell it anymore

I used ebay as a guide, especially when someone wants me to make an offer. I look at the completed auctions and see what the card sold for. I usually throw out the highest price and the lowest prices (if there is more than a couple sold in the past couple of weeks) and go for the middle or the average. What I don't like is when the average selling price of ebay is $10 and the person wants $15 or $20. But it doesn't bother me too much, I just move on, unless it is a rare card someone is selling it for the price you want.

I dunno All I can say is it IS frustrating. It is getting harder and harder to make a deal with someone on here. Many people are very rude through PM. When u ask a price for something and I give it, I don't wanna here about ''Well I can get it much lower on ebay'' I dont CARE if you can get it lower on Ebay ..FINE get it then You will be paying double the card's price sometimes for shipping as well. I can't sell a card on here for $10 Bucks. Someone said to me Thats below asking price''...Ill say its still well below book and a little higher than ebay, WITHOUT the shipping cost which is $5 on a lot of cards. I buy and sell just as much as the next guy on EBAY but Give me a break, have a better attitude, get to know the person a bit and work out a deal or trade. Its that simple. Im sick of this new generation of collectors. This is why the hobby is the way it is, someone ALWAYS wants something for NOTHING....sorry for the rant.
