They usually let championship matches go a bit more. No ref wants to be accused of calling a fight too early when a title is on the line.
If Carwin had some cardio and a ground game he might have a shot but he banks everything on a first round knock out. When that fails he has nothing left.

good fight on all accounts. glad to see lesnar win. hopefully it will quiet some of the haters (not talking about anyone here actually, mostly people on mma websites)

I think the ref did a good job not stopping it, though I felt that it could have very easily be stopped. Carwin ran out of gas big time, and Brock certainly proved he can take a punch.
Very entertaining night of fights...for a change!
