05 Donruss Inside View Ken Griffey RARE #/5? for trade

Just pulled the card mentioned, the 2005 Donruss Inside View Ken Griffey Jr. These are a short print issue that per Donruss and Beckett were NOT suppose to be released!!! There is no pricing on Beckett, but better players like Griffey are going for $40-$60 on eBay. Many reports have this card as around #/5 of printed!! But no official total is available, just a rare quantity. Also read that Donruss was asking people to send them back.

I'm mostly interested in trading for a similar limited release of Schilling. I may sell it, but I'm going to wait a bit longer to see how more go on eBay. But for the right price I'd sell now.

I would do it for the Schilling/Martinez patch.

Though that auto does intrigue me. BV-wise what you you be looking for to help even it out for the auto.

Just as a gauge for the Griffey, a Biggio has gone for over $30 on eBay, Jeter over 50, Nomo one for over 40 and another over 80, Torii Hunter over 50, Edgar over 48, and Ichiro one for 45 and another over 60. So I would think a BV of $60 would be a ballpark BV for Griffey. Please give me your thoughts. If this sounds fair, would I be looking for something in the 20-25 BV range to even it up?

Ya all those cards went for that much but you forgot to mention that the Griffey went for just over 20. I think the Dual Patch /10 is a little out of the price range of the Griffey. I would take problery 40 in Game-used for the cards or I will get back to you with some pick ups of Schilling if I can find some this weekend. LMK

That sucks. Didn't see that Griffey. Had it sorted by high price. Did see the one now on auction that ends tomorrow. It's at 15.50 so far. We can wait until after the weekend if you want.

Since eBay almost always goes under book, that is why I'm gauging the Griffey book to be 40+. It's an 05 n/a, so the value is ultimately up to you.

For example, I'm in the middle of deal getting that spx 01 triple from an eBay seller for 17 delivered (that is a 40 BV and didn't even sell for 9.99 ending yesterday. So with most of these IVs fetching more than $20 on eBay, they are worth 40+ BV (and somewhere under 60 BV) to me as I can just sell it there and use the $ to get such a Schilling BV card there. Just want you to know where I'm coming from.

So I guess let me know how far off in BV terms you feel the Patch is. I would think it would be a bit higher, but not a ton. 10-20 BV? Let me know how you see it. I would do the Griffey and some $ for the Patch. Would have to think about the $ amount. Say $8?

And, not sure what you meant by "I would take problery 40 in Game-used for the cards" Are you saying 40 BV in some other gu would free you of the patch or some of the other cards you listed (except the auto no doubt)? Just interested in Griffey gu right?

Sorry I was saying that I could trade a 40 GU for the Griffey. The Double Patch Card numbered only to 10 should be a lot higher then that. I will see what the ones goes for tomorrow and what I can find at the show and get back to you.
