Yogi Berra
I am currently on a quest to get every living HOFer's autograph and was wondering if there is any chance of getting Mr. Berra's autograph without having to pay his $50 fee as I have heard that he used to sign index cards for free? Thanks for the help.

I think your request letter will matter more than what you send to get signed. The only times I've ever seen Yogi sign for free is when a long, sincere letter was sent. And usually sent to his home address instead of his business address.

I got him to sign my baseball card for free. It is better to send it to his home address.

Sorry but
!
I sent a long sincere letter 2 years ago to his home addy and received a long sincere price list & a B/W pic. The return addy was from his museum. However, I thought the pic was really cool (see both below).Last edited by lizard-jd; 10-03-2010 at 11:33 AM.

I'm sorry about asking this but I just can't seem to find it myself. What's his home address?

Yogi Berra, 19 Highland Ave. Monclair, NJ 07042 is what I have.
Give the guy a bit of a break though. He just had issues from his fall and couldn't make a bunch of stuff in Cooperstown this past weekend(IDK if he showed up for induction or not). Give him a week or two before peppering him with a ttm request.

Sawks14 just beat me to it! I plan on sending a request to him next week (give him a chance to recover, and me a chance to get more stamps).
