i wouldn't be so sure on Ritola. I can see him getting claimed by another team ala Kyle Quincey. I just wish the Wings didn't have to deal with Draper for this season. He is such a burden on their roster and their salary cap.

all that means is that he makes two different salaries. One in the NHL and one in the AHL depending where he plays. I am telling you right now i know for a fact that he is out of options and would have to clear waivers in order for him to be sent to the AHL. It could still happen, but i have a feeling that if the Wings try and send him down someone will take him.

A two way contract means he can't be claimed by anyone. He is free to go up and down without anyone claiming him. As long as he passes the rules of age, and games play, which I am almost positive he has,

Ok you win haha, Ritola can be claimed now. Well pretty sure he will be in the minors than. Unless Abdelkader can go up and down freely. Than Ritola may stay up.

Yeah either way one or two of these fowards are going to have to go. Wings will have 14 or 15 forwards once Helm and Abdelkader are signed. Abdelkader will be with the Wings for sure
