Cup pushed back a week, as expected!

Just noticed on UD's Facebook page release date changed from 8/24 to 8/31. Is anyone really surprised!

That's been the release date for some time now.

Really? Just checked UD's info page on Facebook a few days ago and it said the 24th? Maybe they just didn't update that as quickly as another listing.

It wouldn't be the cup without the delay...I was crushed last year when it wasnt released for the nationals, this year, I have no money so i'm fine lol

In other news Alexander Ovechkin scored a goal in an NHL game.

This is par for the course with UD with ALL of its products.

In fact, I expect to see even more delays in the coming year.

I attribute this to less products being produced and the fact UD wants less redemptions and more cards packed out to beef things up in their "competition" against Panini.

i can live with the delays these days. UD says delays are due to getting more autos in and reducing redemptions and for once they seem to be telling the truth. i'm ok with less redemptions when i break.

Yeah, considering it was supposed to originally ship in June, an extra week really is no big deal to me. Unfortunately, now, that makes me have to decide whether to try to squeeze one more case of Premier in before then...crap.

That is exactly what UD said at the Nationals. They wanted the redemption's reduced and they are well aware that Panini is going to make a splash. They also admitted to learning a few lessons and eating a little crow... then they handed Brandon the Crosby 1/1 printing plate. Nice job UD. I hope they are turning a page because I really do like UD product generally. The reps where very cool... I will be buying some The Cup when it is finally released... I have some scans of the 1/1 and the Panini sample cards given out at the NAtionals in Our Baltimore Thread (link below in my sig)
