experiences with upper deck
I going thru 2 scenerios with UD at the moment.
One is I redeemed a card and when I finally received it, I found it was slightly damaged enough for the card not to be mint anymore. It was a low numbered card which UD told me they could not replace if I sent it back but said they would send 'complimentary product to make up for the value lost on the card'. They provided a case number and told me to expect something a few weeks later.
The other scenerio is when they sent me a redeemed card, the envelope came but the card was missing! So technically I never received said card. When I called UD, they asked me to fill out an affidavit, return it to them, and weeks later, my redemption list on the UD website is added with the missing items saying 'replacement requested'.
I haven't received anything yet but wondering does anyone know what they usually send as 'complimentary product'? Is it a couple of packs of something or some insert card? Also, when it says 'replacement requested', is it the same card they give or they end up giving another card that is equal in value so to speak? I only ask this last question because I was suppose to receive a Tyler Myers UD Black Lettermen card /99 but it was missing from the envelope, which was shredded to bits by the way. I don't know how UD could replace it with the same card if there are only 99 of them and they would have to go out of their way to get Myers to sign the card again (don't know if they really do that!).
Just wondering what everyone's experiences were with this and what is usually received. I always wait for that fedex truck to come to see what I get but to no avail...

well, from what i understand is, sometimes the company in question, would have the athlete sign some additional cards as a replacement if this kind of problem comes up..or since the card is numbered to just 99..and it is a great rookie card to be had..if they don't have a replacement they will send you a card of equal value back..sometimes more than one for your trouble..at least they did that for me..if you call them and ask the status..they should ask you what your favorite team would be so they could send out a suitable replacement for you...good luck

Maybe they didn't think the Myers was high end enough to be fedex'd. They just mailed that one out like it was any other card.
but no one really answered what they mean by 'complimentary product'. Are those packs or another card?

Com. product
It's usually low end packs, from my experience.
They don't put all product in packs so push for
the same card from them, it just wouldn't be the same serial#.
Good Luck UD has very bad costomer service.

Speaking of my experience, UD would replace the /99 card in equal or more value. You may get 1 or a few replacement card, but you will not get another same /99 card back because they would need to save them till at least the redemption expiration date. For the damaged card, they would send you a few packs.

Thanks everyone. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. May take another few weeks though....

Hopefully it works out for the best for you - by the sounds of things somebody at the post office had the sticky fingers and made off with your Myers. It's unfortunate, but it happens. Keep us posted. :)

My lord, sounds like you are getting the run around.... sometimes these things happen, I hope it works out for you. I don't think UD intentionally means for these things to happen
