Artifacts?

Posting this up just as an opinion type of thread, i understand that every box is a gamble you could get lucky and pull something great, could just get a mediocre box, and you can get complete duds.
my question is, how has everyones experiance with this stuff been?
my LCS has a box of 08/09 in for 100 bucks, and im just a little hesitant to buy it cause i've not seen anything spectacular thats been pulled. Tho, i have seen the dual tags that is way cool..... your thoughts?

u can definitely get some sweet hits but i think $100 is a little high for 08-09. u get 3 game-used that are numbered, an autograph, a rc redemption, usually 2 rc's and a parallel with a few subsets that are numbered as well...i got a box and didnt do too great (best card was an Iginla dual JSY /100), but it was still really fun

i dont think so for 08-09, i think the 07-08 ones are expiring soon so u should be good

I bought 3 Hobby boxes in 2007-08 and got nothing but garbage, Never again.


I bought one Ultra Retail box and got 4 of the top 6 Rookies plus a $60.00 Kane RC Redemption.

Artifacts appears to all or nothing.

I have gotten some pretty sick hits from 2008-09 Artifacts. In my opinion, that was the best product of the 2008-09 season. Ended up buying half a case worth.

Artifacts was good to me in 08-09 (hit a crosby autofacts out of a box, made double what I payed) but 100 is a bit high for that product now a days

For $100 right now I'd get a pack of 09-10 Ultimate over 08/09 Artifacts. Just my 2 cents.

Artifacts is great from that year. I pulled a Lemieux SP autofacts and several nice patch and auto cards. My buddy pulled the Toews 1/1 auto'd base card and the patrick roy 1/1 tag card. It was definitely my favorite 08-09 product.
