Helm PC, should I sell it?

Alright, simple Poll here, Ill try to make the story short and sweet as well
A buyer on another forum, has offered to buy out my collection, we are currently negotiating, nothin Is set yet.
The catch is, he has already bought out the other big collector in Canada, who has almost all the 1/1s and plates I do not, if he buys me out as well, he will have the best Helm PC in the world, uncontested
Now, I am a Senior in high school, I have college to think about, and a life after school to do the same, The figure right now, is around 1500, but as I said, nothing is certain at this point
Another point to give thought, is with him having the other half, if I don't sell it to him, I will know that I will NEVER have every card of him, unless he decides to sell his cards off, which would turn into a big waiting game.
Just looking for opinions, Im very proud of my PC, and I want the opinions of you guys before I go and sell it off quickly
    Any ideas/opinions appreciated

    Rob

Well if you truly want every card then you will have to sit and wait and maybe never get them all anyway. If you just want a great collection and dont need the money keep them and know they may never be worth more then what you just were offered. Tough call, there are positives each way. Ok I am no help......I'm a hoarder lol!

Do what you think is best for you.

If you consider sellling and your Ultimate auto patch /25 looks better then this you should swap it to me, help a set builder out.

I agree, do what you think is best. I sold my Bogosian PC to get funds to make a high end PC. I think I made a great decision as I look at those new ones every day.

    BTW, those to are BEAUTIFUL!!!

I know it's clichéd but do what you feel best.

I don't think everyone knows that they will grab every single card for a certain player and if you feel as so that money could go to better use, i.e college like you say, then do that. But if you think 'I'm never going to get EVERY single card of Helm', so I'll sell, you'll not enjoy the hobby as much as you think.

    My 2 cents.

Unless Helm is a close friend or somebody you grew up with, or is married to your Sister, and you can get a decent buck for the collection then.......

    SELL.

Hockey Cards are a commodity, they are no different than 9/16 lag bolts, or Evinrude Outboard Motors.

Someone now is willing to buy your pc of helm for $1500. If you do not sell now, then down the road, will there ever be another buyer of a helm pc collection for that price?

But if this just about collecting/hoarding and not about investment, then it doesn't matter if you sell now/later or do not sell at all and want to pass down to your future kids.
