that is a excellent point crosby is a great player but crosby & Pittsburgh did not do so great either in the playoffs when they faced Montreal. i just stayed that i think ovechkin is better in my opinion plus ur just stating that crosby can be better if he wonted not necessarily that he is. so if OVI is a better pure goal scorer, 1 on 1 player and hitter is it fair to say ovi is better than crosby in one on one because i was comparing the 2 as a single player not as a team because the Vancouver canucks is better as a team. i only say THANKS JOHNNASERI to be potlie not to think i won anything.

Really, I watch hockey and Crosby backchecks, takes and dominates faceoffs, has Gretzky's vision and can deke multiple players at a time and score.( things OVechkin can't do.) O yeah and does OVI even know where his own blue line is? Yes, it takes a team, but when your captain does not have any idea what to do to go far in the playoffs (lacking the first pass capabilities and team concept)then the whole team fails(WSH is far more talented then PITTS anyways, so what are you talking about?) Hence Crosby destroying the Ottawa Senators and Washington Capitals by himself. That is why Crosby will always be better, just because OVI shot more in his career and scored more definably does not make him better. Just look at the two instances Crosby shot more and played goal scorer, head to head against OVI in the playoffs and came out on top. He also won the rocket taking 70 less shots then OVI. SO i think if Crosby wanted to put up 50 every year, he would have no problem doing so. OVI is a better pure goal scorer, 1 on 1 player and hitter though.

NHL has changed/advanced far too much for that too happen. The way OVI is playing he is on his way to becoming the greatest pure goal scorer ever.
