they'll be swimming shortly I'm sure :). Given this is hobby talk, hope this isnt a hijack, but I didnt see any other show recap threads with solid discussions about the event....not sure its worth 2 cents, but here's my thoughts and rest of my stash.

I really liked Panini's offerings and thought it may of been the best for the value. Obviously my hits are skewed. But you figure for say a 70 buck box (R&S) + 1 pack, you got 5 two card packs. Granted just had one 2010/11 Donruss Promo Card and one insert /250, but most had something better. I didnt get any of the true memorabilia redemptions (typically pucks), but hit a lot of the Expo 10 /5 cards.

ITG was probably the best just for entering the show. Not only did you get a gift bag (mine had 5 packs of cards plus the a 5 pack of the 45 expo promo VIP set). But you got to spin their wheel where you had a chance to win something extra (macfarlane/bobblehead or a Blaster box). I hit the gold spot, which was the Blaster Box (1 slot on wheel). Didnt get anything out of my blaster, but it was still great fun.

Lots and Lots of Hockey. It was what I expected, probably 85% hockey, maybe higher. Still no Bleu Blanc Et Rouge LeMaire patch for me...gotta hope one surfaces one of these days (plus side Dr. Price did take a business card with the card info in case one does open as 2 boxes were opened yesterday), and maybe a few more today. I saw 2 Cases of it at the show and probably a few there, but those that had singles didnt have it :( Great mix of Vintage and Modern. Massive amounts of CUP singles for sale and I'd say UM10 was the biggest thing being broken, but if Certified Hockey doesnt tie, its a close second.

Great/Funny story here. Scott Prusha had given me 5 of the redemption packs for one of my Rookies and Stars Boxes. I open one of the packs and its got 3 cards in it (should have 2). The 2 cards were both /5 (expo 10 cards), but only one had the Expo 10 stamp. Scott took it from me and gave me a free pack. I was just starting to complain (not about to give up a /5 card even without the Expo 10 stamp) for a chance at nada...I'm opening the pack and see the back card is /2..end whinning right here :)...turns out there were three cards in that pack...my Lindros and Lecavalier autos :)

The Toews was a box Battle Prize (2010 Football). My box ended up having the most cowboys in it). If you win the round, you got a Nazem Kadri autographed 8x10 and a numbered decoy card, which matches a number in their display case. Extra Bonus...I'm probably one of say 20 people that have entered in for a chance to win the Gerald Ford Presidental Cut Auto they have in their display case as well.

From my stack of cards looks like I opened about 19 bonus packs from Panini.

2010/11 Donruss Promo Set (6 cards):

    2010-11 Certified Expo 10 Inserts: Lundqvist 1/5, Backlund 2/5, DeSlauriers 1/5, Elliott 2/5, Simmonds 2/5, Greene 1/5

Football: Demartus Thomas 2/5 and Dexter McCluster 5/5
Basketball: Ed Davis 2/5 and 5/5

The Panini redemption was one of the best programs in years! It was alot of fun and the whole section was buzzing. I love the cards /5 and the chance to get an auto. I really hope they continue this.

I remember when ITG did this sort of promotion, you either got a card /10 (which I really miss) or a memorabilia card per box...Dr Price has certainly sent a message this year with only high end redemption program...too bad because his booth used to have the same atmosphere that Panini had. Hopefully you bring back the program for the "lower" end collector.

    Overall great show!
