I feel sorry for the Isles fans, with Streit's injury he was their best D. How can you let him go for draft picks?

Anyways the Jackets could have used him, a bit disappointed. Good trade for the Habs. Send Weber down.

And then have Gauthier get in touch with Nashville to send their Weber up! LOL

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I completely agree, awful move on their part. A second rounder is all well and good but as has been pointed out, a still somewhat young, offensive guy who is playing well for you doesn't make much sense getting rid of him. At least my boy Robbie Schremp is still on a nice tear :)

You never know, he might get traded as well. It seems that once you start doing well, you are trade bait.

Hopfully not Rob. From a reliable soruce. Since the new coach got there Rob is considered the most improved player on the team. His ice time is also going up.

less cap, and the Isles are in a complete rebuild.

these are the only reasons. It must be tough be an Islanders fan, when the ownership and GM don't have faith in their own players, how do they expect the fans to?

I bet he is thanking the Habs and the Lord that he got away from that mess. Now he can use his talents again and be on a successful team.

This move by the Habs is the reason that Ken Holland is not the best GM in the League. He insists on keeping Brad Stuart employed. Is he farkin blind?

Stuart cost us a Stanley Cup by having Talbot go around on both goals in game 7 him like a turnstile while he was OOP. Am I the only Red Wing Fan with a functioning Cerebral Cortex?

I'd like to think your sources in this case are pretty reliable

He really is improving and again, is still young. I think the Isles have a bright future coming once they get helathy. With guys like Okposo and Streit currently out of the lineup, they won't show it as much but just you wait til they're back. They'll have a lot more scoring from the first line and blue-line. And don't forget about Nino Neiderreiter...he's going to be a very good player IMO and I'm not an Isles fan saying this lol
