i send oversized mail...its costs $2...just write on the front of the envelope "cards only"
this is the tip i got from the nice lady at my post office...no customs declaration form needed

if the card is over $40 or so in value or i question the trader in anyway then i will send with tracking which is about $19

I can understand the $19 for a really expensive card, but is it worth it for something that is $40? Just seems so expensive to me. Why must we get screwed! lol

I guess as long as the person has a good rating and can be trusted, the DC won't matter.

Ship with expedited shipping and print the label through paypal. Add signature confirmation for $1.50. usually around $10 to USA and 6-9$ in Canada depending where its going. I would only use that for items over $50. Anything under that I take the risk that the seller is honest.

I'll get in on this, and hook you up the Canada Post link to all of it's services: http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/ap...execution=e1s1

As far as it goes, most everybody here sends Standard delivery without tracking. In instances where you require tracking is when your sending a valuable lot along, just to protect yourself, and to ensure the buyer knows you legitimately sent your package, in case an issue ever arrives.

The mail for the most part gets through. Sometimes slow. That is to be expected, but if it becomes a matter of trust, then sending tracked is the way to go.

Just get to know your buyers, and trading partners, and the cheaper alternative of Standard delivery becomes a completely acceptable practice.

I pay 2 dollars to ship to the US, since mine get sent as oversized letter, saves from having to fill out custom forms as well.

be careful with that....its much slower to get for the buyer..

I think a global rate of $20 is fair and safe for tracking number and signature. Without tracking number and signature, the seller is in trouble with Paypal because no proof of delivery can be done. Of course at $20 alone for shipping, all the minor items are avoid on eBay/internet... card shows are the solution for inexpensive items (indirectly items more easy to find).
