They reseal the packs with lesser-known players to meet the guaranteed requirement.

I remember once I bought a pack of 05-06 SPX... had all the promises of a low numbered rookie or a patch.
Opened the baby up and low and behold there was a Majestic Materials card for Jason Allison......... That's right an UD series 2 insert in a pack of SPX.
The seller was kicked off Ebay, I got my money back and I have never bought a pack which said it was a hit pack.

Can't believe that people are still buying 'hot pack'.

If the guy knew that he had a crosby, why would he sell it?!?!?!

They reseal the packs and insert crappy player in those pack.
The only thing that is guarantee in those pack is that you will get scammed.

there are also people that use precise scales to see that the weight is different in that one pack. I think some people on here could just be mad that they bought one and got a crappy player so then assumed it was a scam. Might have just been bad luck with the player

Well, judging by his feedback rating of 99.5% maybe this isn't the first time he/she has sold packs like this before!

Hot packs are scams... Have someone here on SCF ever gotten a Crosby, Ovechkin, Gretzky etc. when buying "hot packs"? I doubt it.

To the sellers defence he doesn't say you will get anything good. just that you will get what he is saying. not a crosby or anything.
