Update on my Ebay ripoff Box/paypal

Hey fellas, just wanted to update you all, about the case of the switch-a-roo(just in case you don't remember, I bought a Hobby box for $30 + and he sent a retail $9.99 box) He also played dumb etc., gave me bad feedback??? long story). Looks like I WIN baby!!!!!

good luck with that, doesnt always mean you will get your money back, if the seller has 0 funds in his paypal account you wont get anything back but if he slips up and has enough $ in his paypal account to cover your refund paypal will automatically take it out of his account and put it in yours

Right. You could get the double-screwjob if you mail back the package and then he has nothing in his account.

Actually paypal is linked to either a bank account or a credit card, so he has to have money in one of those accounts. But thanks for trying to rain on my parade!! LOL
I've gotten things off of paypal many times without enough in my account, so it just takes a few more days and comes striaght out of my bank account!!

BIG difference with buying stuff through Paypal using your bank account funds and having Paypal dip into your account without authorization. Trust me, I've been around the 'Paypal-barn' if there is a way for you to be screwed, they will find it. Not tryinig to rain on your parade, but that's how they work. Paypal wants to keep their hands clean.

This is what I'd do, since he already tried to screw you. Send him a certified or registered envelope or small box or something. Inside put a letter that says 'FU Buddy' or something to that extent. That way you have the record of shipping him the package and him recieving it.... nobody is to say what's inside. That's a big loophole in their system. I wouldn't use DC if I were you. Just my 2 cents.

Actually, thats funny because I was thinking of sending the retail box back, completely empty!! Just to say FU. We must think alike.
The only reason I'm tempted not to is because the person at paypal that I spoke to said I would get some mony, but maybe not all of it. Man, now I don't know what do do?? You're killing me. Maybe I should have a poll, and see what people think!!

Your idea is good! Take all the packs out of the box and send it back with a creative note written on it. Consider it 'interest' on the loan you made him. It's not like he can neg you again. lol

He still listing stuff on eBay? If so you might be in good shape.

hope you get it man...maybe print out that crazy picture i posted in the orginal thread and stick it in with some decoy cards and mail it back to him.

and who knows maybe youll get a auto of that retail pack if no money refunds come out of this.

I got screwed about 2-3 weeks ago too InsaneIrish. I bought 20 loose packs off of eBay for Sage HIt. Figured it was a steal at 10 bucks for the 20 packs. The guy saw's he pulled them outta a box. Had 100% feedback. And he has 200+ feedback. So I bought it. When it arrived...I read the odds...it said OVERALL AUTOS/Game Used odds are 1:5. So I figure hmmmmmm....4 autos/game used for me for a steal of a deal. Guess what? After Pack 10...I knew I was screwed. After pack 20...I got 15 inserts...which was 1:1 and 5 cards that were 1:3 or something like that. Those jerks said they pulled them outta a box. Yeah right...20 packs and NOTHING! Somehow...the manipulated the odds for me. So it was 0:20. I was heated. Messaged him on eBay and told him they ripped me off. He said why am I crying for...it was cheap. Well...sure it was cheap...but should of told me that they scanned the packs and it didn't have anything. I mean seriously...if you tried to sell someone 20 packs and told them they was just going to get commons and nothings...would anybody buy it? But I told him that. He said he will give me my $$$ back cuz he was selling the singles. And I re-sent it back out via DC. And now I got my $$$ back.

Hey Irish I read your first post on this subject. I'm a huge buyer on ebay and first of all to any who read this. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! As for you Irish keep any good cards you pulled send him back the crap! You are at least owed them for having to pay for shipping yet again and your neg feedback. Do not put in the package anything saying you screwed him as he will have it to prove you are the bad guy in this! Be warned this went through post office and screwing around he could prove postal fraud charges so just something to consider before doing something real stupid. As for the other guy who bought loose packs. What could you have been thinking? Way to go Irish, if anything you have proven yourself right and Ebay has backed you. Keep us updated if you get your money back!
