Help on selling a recent pull

hello, i posted a little while ago that i pulled a Crown Royale Rookie Silhouette Autograph Prime Materials #ed out of 99 of Jeff Skinner. I usually am not graced with such nice hits so i have a questions. I DO plan on selling it on eBay, and there is one on there now at $192 with 7 hours left. I have a question though. Do you think i should redeem it first then sell it? Or will people buy it as a redemption. I only ask because personally i would NEVER pay that much for a redemption, but i might be in the minority. Any opinions on a price to expect and some advice on what to do would be awesome! I've never really sold anything high end before. Also, if anyone is interested in purchasing that card zip me a PM or post here and i'll gladly supply you with the URL when i post it either later tonight or tomorrow. But i would appreciate some advice, especially if you have sold cards on eBay before. Thanks!
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

Well, the first couple copies will always sell very high, so you may want to strike while the iron is hot. That said, if Skinner's awesome rookie year continues it may get a further boost. And if you choose to redeem, you may end up lucking out and being the first to receive and sell a live copy, which is a nice perk.

If you really want to move the card now: Keep an eye on that initial copy, see what it sells for, and fire up a BIN/OBO at that price after it ends.

yeah okay....there are a few on there with BIN/BO but i can just put it for slightly lower or just have a normal auction and see where it goes. How would you ship the card? i know physically how to ship, but should i get insurance? and should i ship to canada? No offense to canadian buyers but i've heard horror stories about shipping there from the states

Hey wise guy, you think it's any easier sending to the states. People are dishonest on either side of the border so instead of getting on Canada how about simply stating that a card of that value should be sent insured with a signature regardless of where it is being sent. That way you won't offend anyone and will probably have an easier time making trades and sales here.

Another option since it's a redemption would be to PM the code to the buyer. Gets him the important stuff quicker and saves you both the shipping.

No, he's pretty right. proper shipping practices based on value should be utilized regardless of where it's going. To single out Canada is kind of ignorant.
    But I digress.

    The bickering ends now, please.
In my experience, offering insured shipping is a safe bet when dealing with any card of this kind of value. While mishaps are a rarity, you don't want to leave yourself exposed for loss with no compensation.
I would also point out, not because I'm Canadian myself, that auctions for hockey cards that don't allow Canadian buyers ALWAYS sell for less. Why wouldn't you want the most passionate, rabid fans on your side for the sale? It's a very minor inconvenience to fill out a customs sticker, and that's all that it is, the cost is only pennies more, a very negligible difference.
