Another option since it's a redemption would be to PM the code to the buyer. Gets him the important stuff quicker and saves you both the shipping.

if i do offer to send him the code, can that backfire? can't he say it doesn't work or something?...im just trying to cover my bases...sorry for so many questions lol im new to selling cards...usually i keep everything

again your safest bet when crossing borders is to make sure u get that signature....even registered mail without signature can backfire on you because sometimes it never gets scanned when crossing the border and your tracking number forever shows "item going through customs" regardless if the buyer receives it or not....getting that signature is the only 100% way to cover yourself....Just make sure you say that before the deal gets done that why they know they are going to have to pay some extra bucks for shipping....hope everything works out in your favor!!!

@ comfortably9numb: IMO, you should redeem it right now and hope that you get it first to sell it on ebay. You will get big bucks for this card
If you sell the redemption,do not send the code, you should send the entire card so nothing bad happens

I think you could get a lot if you sold the redemption right now. There's not telling when they satisfy the redemption, and the cards are brand new and HOT on the market right now.

I never send dont send to canada i said protect yourself with signature confirmation...geez u canadians need to thicken that skin up....if saying you have a bad postal service gets you upset id hate to see what happens in the real world.

sell the redemption dont redeem it...by the time u get the card all the hype will be go ne and the card will have settled....all the people goin crazy for this stuff will buy the redemption now...good luck with the sale!!

A ton of bad info in this thread.

#1 - The issue of items not being scanned is a US border issue. Every piece of mail incoming and outgoing has to now go through US customs for inspection and that is where the scanning is not being done. I've had 4 cases that Canadapost traced and have the full report of where items were scanned and where it stopped and it's at the US Point of Entry inspection every single time. (every package was eventually delivered and scanned at the delivery time except one and that was an honest buyer that confirmed receipt of item)

#2 - Every single package shipped registered to Canada is required to be signed for on delivery. Occasionally it happens that they do not do it but I have had just as many incompetent US letter carriers not getting the sig when required.

#3 - Do not email the code. This leaves you open to an easy chargeback as you are required to ship tangible goods.

im leaning towards just selling it now...so if i am on eBay...which shipping option should i choose? they ALL require a signature? i was planning on requiring a sig anyway

From my experiences receiving high dollar items from the US (never had a reg. package not reach me) - registered mail is the way to go although I do not know exactly what insurance options are available with that service.
