I can explain this one VS the Griffin fakes.

Occasionally Panini has made jersey cards that have a tiny bit of patch on the edge of them but are still counted as /299 /499 etc. as a jersey card. I have just seen a few from Absolute that are like that, and of course most listers post it as a prime patch even though it is a normal jersey card. I also have a Dujuan Blair like that from last year.

So the Casspi there can fit into that category, where as the Griffins are obviously the jersey versions of the cards that have had fake sick looking multi color patches put into them (not just a little edge of patch that slipped into a jersey card is the key distinction here).

Hey guys please expand on how the Griffin is fake for sure. I found this below in anoth auction on ebay. It is a patch /399 without the prime tag...Becket does list a Griffin /399 auto mem.. I did not think that there are fake auto cards like this out there.

Is he changing the patch or creating the card from fresh?

Clearly, the seller has good history of selling fake cards. On top of it, the seller is very smart to use a new account to sell. I bet the "true" account is like 5000+ rating, and he doesn't want to mess up the good account.
