quick Miz fact
Miz has now held the title for over 4 months. That is the longest reign with the belt since HHH had it in 2008 when he held it for 7 months. Amazingly after HHH lost his belt on 11/24/2008 it has gone from champion to new champion 15 times up until Miz beat Orton!!
Champion Defeated Location Date
The Miz Randy Orton Orlando 11-23-10
Randy Orton Sheamus Chicago 09-19-10
Sheamus John Cena, Randy Orton & Edge Uniondale, N.Y. 06-20-10
John Cena Batista Phoenix 03-28-10
Batista John Cena St. Louis 02-21-10
John Cena Sheamus St. Louis 02-21-10
Sheamus John Cena San Antonio 12-13-09
John Cena Randy Orton Pittsburg, Pa. 10-25-09
Randy Orton John Cena Newark, N.J. 10-04-09
John Cena Randy Orton Montreal 09-13-09
Randy Orton n/a Charlotte, N.C. 06-15-09
Batista Randy Orton New Orleans 06-07-09
Randy Orton Triple H Providence, R.I. 04-26-09
Triple H n/a Seattle 02-16-09

Jeff Hardy Edge Buffalo, N.Y. 12-15-08
Edge Triple H Boston 11-24-08
Triple H Randy Orton Baltimore 04-27-08
whats amazing is from 4-26-09 to up until Miz won it late last year the only others to hold it was Orton 4 times, Cena 4 times, Batista and Sheamus both twice. If only 4 people help it during that time is fine but the fact that during that span they all repeatedly were losing the belts to one another is just insane

Good. WWE needs to stop handing around belts left and right.

yeah it's nice to finally see a champion last more than a month. That's how it used to be and that's how it should be

But why a real world reject! This guy makes David Arquette look legit! Miz is a joke!
I can name at least 20 guys right now more deserving of the belt than him
Cena
Orton
Kofi
Swagger
Morrison
Bryan
Sheamus
LAWLER!
R-Truth
Del Rio
Christian
Kane
Big Show
Kozlov
Barrett
Punk
Zeke
Undertaker
Khali
Dibiase
McIntyre
Sorry but having watched wrestling since 1980 seeing him with a belt makes me sick!

Yep. Ted DiBiase and Great Khali both deserve the title over Miz.
Let me get a hit of whatever you're taking.

don't you just love it when the Miz can get a reaction from people like this? This must be you sitting in front of the computer not getting why the Miz is being pushed so much as a great heal
he is at the top because he can get angry reactions from longtime wrestling fans, because he is a great heal that always has someone watch his back if he needs help and he is one of the best current performers on the microphone.
Also as a longtime wrestling fan I'd think someone would appreciate his determination to get there. 10 years ago as a college man on the Real World he had his dream to be in the WWE some day, he already had his gimmick as the Miz planned out. He was a finalist for the WWE's Tough Enough competition. He trained in OVW, was DSW heavyweight champion. He was an amazing tag team champion with John Morrison, who doesn't have any mic skills which leaves him in a divas match with Snooki at Wrestlemania, was tag champion with Show as Show Miz, won the U.S. championship, he won the Money in the Bank ladder match to get his opportunity. This guy has been driven to get to the WWE and show what he can do for the past 10 years. He is very good technical and mobile wrestler and the WWE LOVES the complete opposite reactions that he gets from crowds

Yea, but the days over "long" running champs have long since passed....the average viewers tend to not happily watch what they deem as the same program over and over.....and its almost like rapid title changes are needed this days.....look out how the heat for Miz has fizzled in the time he has had the belt.....its a lil sad to say but nobody as of late has the "Hogan" "Stone Cold" "Rock" power to hold viewers and event go ers in the palm of there hand.
