I would recommend buying the cheapest food scale you can buy that does ounces. No need to buy a fancy scale if all you're doing is sending BMs.

Will have to look. I'd prefer something digital. I'd go for the ones on ebay that are starting at pennies a piece, shipping is $9. But bad reviews on them from some customers on Amazon. All set buying something for it to crap out on me. And $40 is a bit much for me on USPS.

the stamps.com one is good quality, just lacks the display.. it can do more than 5lbs too. you can get them on ebay for around 10 bucks, but would probably be better off doing the free trial and still getting it for 10 bucks brand new with $5 in free postage. with stamps.com you can print on envelopes & print first class postage so its easy to use the $5 after you get the scale and before you have to cancel the trial.. one thing to be careful of with the trial is you have to call them M-F to cancel it.

Any scale you buy should state their weight parameters. You need it to go to at least 1 ounce.
I do all my shipping using paypal and have saved a ton of money. DC at my post office is .80 and with paypal it's .19. I have done well over 100 packages since I started and thats $61 saved on DC alone!!

Went looking in Staples, cheapest digital scale was $40. And I don't really trust the old fashioned ones. I want current not way back when stuff lol.
