The 14.99 packs you CAN NOT see the codes through the box, you're thinking of the 7.99 3 pack with code that you can see. The 14.99 codes are in their own plastic with 3 cards and the back card being a refractor (thus you can not see the back)... ALL of the 14.99 packs that have redemption codes in their own plastic, the codes do not work and you need to contact Topps...

JDS - You're right...it is the 2010 and 2011 Topps $7.99 4-pack blister packs I was thinking of...not the $14.99 packs. Those Topps Million code cards in the $7.99 blister packs weren't screw ups by Topps...those codes were stolen by people who go into the scores and write them down and submit them without buying the product. I haven't even seen the $14.99 deals for 2011 yet.
I don't recall any of my code cards from the 2010 Topps $14.99 packs with the Allen & Ginter Hobby pack on top not working so I guess the issue with code cards in the $14.99 blasters not working was for 2011 Topps only. Next time I'll read the post more thoroughly.
In any case, Steve, it sucks that the diamond code cards didn't work for you...maybe it'll be made up to you in your next purchase and you'll get something really really good. You deserve it...that's for sure.
