I'm surprised nobody has yet mentioned.....the WEIGHT??? From a true collector's standpoint, you worry about a LCS/Vendor/Etc "weighing" boxes/cases for the thicker hits. UMMM...wouldn't this almost be a dead-giveaway??? Even if it were limited to a product like NT, all the initial reports were that these "cards" were going to be very limited in quantity. I just can't imagine how the average collector gets one of these things, the odds would be stacked too high against him. RIGHT???

that was exactly my concern, the upper deck version, has the card embedded into the box, which I would think would wheigh more than the average box, and add to the fact that shops that open boxes to sell packs, would be able to just pull the card out.

But on the other hand, im still hoping to own a lakers version some day, hopefully I wont have to pay an arm and a leg.

Yes, they are by USB... but don't all batteries eventually die or get to the point where they'll no longer hold a charge? (Laptop, Digital Cameras, etc.)

Peculiar.... so odd that I kind of like the idea. I'm not buying one because of the price but it seems to be very cool.

I've kinda figured something like this was going to come about a couple of years ago. I mean what else can they do? Autos, GU, Patches etc. There's not really anything else they can do that's not been done that I can think of. My prediction is it'll be like the first GU cards. When they came out they were expensive, but everybody had to have one, now they are common and you can get them cheap.
