And this all begs the question: was that the last game we'll ever see in Phoenix?
Congratulations to Detroit for making short work of a quality opponent.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Bryz had a terrible 3.5 games of it. The scoring dried-up for the most part. The intense forecheck was not allowed to happen.
Phoenix was defensed to death so badly that it created odd-man attacking opportunities for the Red Wings. The Red Wings have not played that well defensively in almost 8 years.

I agree, it speaks volumes when you hold a quality opponent goalless at even strength for 122 minutes... This is the best I've seen Detroit look, top to bottom in a while, the offense is firing, everybody's contributing, the defense is locking it down, and Howard is making some great saves.

Doan has got to get out of there. I like the Yotes, but I didn't like that Mueller/Wolski trade
terrible deal.. I know Mueller missed the whole season, but still awful
Doan is a good player, borderline Hall of Fame, but he will miss it at this point unless he wins a Cup and is a big part of it.
He will be a poor man's Marcel Dionne if he doesn't get out now.
I say, move the team back to Canada, give them a shot up there, who cares.
They only have 6 teams up there, and the sport IS CANADIEN.
I'm all for it.

Doan is the only Winnipeg Jet, and has been the only Jet now for sometime. That speaks volumes when people talk about the Yzerman's, Sakic's, and Lidstrom's of the World and their commitment to the only team they've ver played for.
Incredible dedication to the cause.

I can't really say I see Doan as a HOF'er to tell you the truth. No Stanley Cup, no major NHL Awards(other than a couple all star games), and well under a point per game player.
