Everyone has his own definition of what constitutes "most valuable." It may not always be the player who scored the most goals or recorded the greatest number of points, but in the case of this year's nominees for the Hart Trophy, the National Hockey League's MVP award, it's hard to argue what they meant to their respective clubs.

Corey Perry of the Anaheim Ducks, Daniel Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks and Martin St. Louis of the Tampa Bay Lightning were named as finalists Thursday. The trio occupied the top three spots on the scoring list and were instrumental in their teams' accomplishments.

No comment other than congratulations for impressing the voters with your stats.

I think Rinne was more deserving then Price. Nothing wrong with the 3 selections though. I hope Sedin wins it.

Amen. Price had a great year, but Rinne had a better one. I do hope Sedin does win this though.

Three deserving candidates, regardless of what the Montreal masses may think regarding Carey Price's exclusion.

It will likely come down to Sedin or Perry, and honestly, I think it's a toss-up. Sedin's margin of victory in the scoring race may have only been five points, but I think his spot as the only guy to hit the 100-point plateau -- while doing so for the top team in the league -- could be the determining factor.
