i read a thread the other day...BGS or other grading services does not authenticate if the patch is real or not...they just grade the condition of the card
i remembered a fake patch card got reported, then later the seller got it graded from BGS...

really? But what if its obvious to them that's its fake? Would they really grade it just the same as any other card?

I suspect (or hope) they just put that in the fine print in case a fake slips through, they don't want to be sued by the buyer for the value. I would hope that if they had a fake card sent for grading they would at the very least refuse to grade it.

ikd if people were gonna fake something i think it would be off the wall like that tott "patch" fake,Panini need to make this more clearer i think them Hakeem's are legit maybe panini considers "prime" to just be a patch? but then again they consider multi color eblems a "prime" on the double and triples.Anyway to get ahold of panini and seek their oppinion on my blast from the past 2 color? every prime i have seen /30 of them have been orange and black sewn break

But at least your classic swatch was overpaid if it is more than $5. That's what people are looking for to make in profit. A card can't even sell for $5 in 1 color GU. And now, with multi-color swatch, people pay $30 for it already.

In the original auction, that's how people make money (in a bad way). A 1 color GU is like $12.

Looks fake. If you read the last feedback he received from a buyer, it says "refund received, thank you!". That was for a sale of a patch jersey card.
