I'd send to the Detroit Tigers FUTURE HOF PLAYER Miguel Cabrera. Money goes to the charity he chose (which he will match out of his pocket), cards $20/8x10's $40, and he gives a nice, clean signature rather than his sometimes rushed one. Also, it will come with a COA letter from a Tigers official.

Lots of good suggestions, thanks everyone.

For some reason lately I haven't enjoyed pack-pulled autos as much. I think psychologically I like to "go out and get" my autos. I will look on ebay to see what's there though.

Since it's baseball season those ideas seem more captivating to me right now. Steve Carlton was who I thought of to begin with when I started this thread. I think he is going to be who it is.

I didn't realize that cabrera signs for that, I knew the Tigers do that autos for a cause program, but didn't realize that they ALL do it. Miggy is a great player, but his attitude and his off-the-field stuff make me not his biggest fan. Still, I have to respect the guy so he is definitely on the short list.

I also like the other HOF suggestions: Dawson, Fingers, Kaline. If I'm sending money in the mail I'd like it to be more of a "sure thing," so I wouldn't send to a guy like Jackson, although I would love to have his auto.

Also on the list I guess is Monte Irving and Goose Gossage.

    Beat me to it:

Steve Carlton. I think he falls into your criteria perfectly.

FYI, I sent $25 to Carlton to sign an OMLB, he returned it unsigned and asking for $39

I'd be sending a card, anyone know the fee on that?

Send to me, I'd take the 20 bucks.

Lol, but seriously, you should send to Dave Winfield. Although I never got to see him play, his stats were insane.

Plus I think he signs baseballs for like 15-20 bucks.

I want to second (or third, I suppose) the suggestion of Bart Starr. I'm a bit biased, but you'd be hard pressed to find a more accomplished player than him, and he signs for $15-$20 with a beautiful signature. Not from Philly, but definitely worth the money and a guaranteed success.

This is the most recent pricelist on SCN, a quote from someones post:

"Current prices are cards and small flats are $29, flats over 8x10 and baseballs are $39, and bats are $65. Check made out to the Grace Fund."

Can take up to 2 months, but if you send everything as asked it looks like he signs pretty well.

If he was still with us, I would say Robin Roberts on a ROMLB. Since he is not, then I would say Steve Carlton or Michael Jack Schmidt...
