The Schmidt's are possibly ghost-signed, so I'd go with Carlton. How can you NOT go with Carlton???

Maybe he just doesn't live at that address anymore, I do know that he works for ESPN now at baseball tonight, which is on the other side of the country in Bristol, CT.

I recall reading some time ago that Winfield could not sign TTM anymore due to contract obligations. I can't cite a source, but I know I saw it someplace.
cyberer, not all of the Tigers players sign for the fee - it is about a third of them now. Here's the complete breakdown.
$20 cards/$40 8x10's - Miguel Cabrera, Magglio Ordonez
$10 cards/NO OTHER ITEMS - Austin Jackson, Rick Porcello
$10 cards/$20 8x10's - Alex Avila, Phil Coke, Carlos Guillen, Brandon Inge

get a nice 16x20 of Lidge on his knees after the phils won the WS and get it signed in person. he's doing a show in media, pa (20 minutes or so from philly) in June. $55... i know its well above the price you mentioned but it will look sweet. I got one done by him last season at a signing and its one of my prized pieces.

Thanks for the suggestion, I would certainly love to have that piece signed, and I have really never seen lidge sign in the stadium, but that's just way too much money AND I hate commercial signings (we don't want to open that can of worms again, but I do).

i understand your point of view. these promoters are good guys. only once had an issue with them and they took care of me.
also... some of the guys being mentioned have mcfarlane figures. i love signed mcfarlanes... think they look awesome. might want to look into that. I plan on dropping a rollie fingers base in the mail this weekend. picked up the figure at a junk shop for $5Last edited by slitz; 05-12-2011 at 12:27 PM.

Sadly, I think the Dave Winfield ship has sailed. What a good run though.
I got 2 HOF PC, 2000 GOTG Base, and a ROMLB signed(each with $15). That and he included an unsigned business card with one of them.
as for HOF ttm fees...they're pretty established and easily available.
I would personally jump on the ebay certauto card bandwagon. If you look hard enough you can find some awesome stuff.
Especially if your looking for some stuff that usually gets overlooked or players/HOFers that get forgotten.
I just picked up Bob Lemon, Al Barlick, Hal Newhouser, and Lou Boudreau signed Front Row sets for $15.95 each. Front Row isn't Topps or Upper Deck but for $15 I got awesome sets with an auto of each. The seller has a bunch of items like them like the Nabisco autos and 1983 ASA autos of Warren Spahn and Johnny Mize. Its the best Mize auto anybody who started graphing after '93 is going to get. I have two of them and their great.
Its all about what you want and who you want. As for ttm fees....I'd try for Whitey Ford. Great sig, legendary player, possible in the $20-$25 range. Also, I'd try and pick up a perez steele or HOF plaque PC. Their great.

Yes it is. It seems like your best bet now would be an attempt via the SD Padres. Once in a very blue moon you may hear of a success through there.
