Frustrated with a Card Shop
Hello all, just wanted to tell everyone how disapointed I am with a local card shop. I pack the family up and drive approxamently 30 minutes to the card shop. I have been to this card shop multiple times and have always spent a good amount of money there. I really enjoy when my youngest (who is nine) goes with me because he is getting more and more into card collecting and it is something we both enjoy doing with each other.
We arrive at the store and we go in and start looking around. I grab some supplies I need because I am out and put them on the counter. I start looking at the boxes of cards and my youngest does like most kids do and tells me that he has to use the bathroom. I look at the owner and ask if my son can use the bathroom. After pondering it he tells me no and that the closest bathroom is about a block away. So I tell my wife I will take him and for her and the rest of the family to stay. I am ticked off by now. I take him and come back to the shop. I was so ticked off that I was not going to by anything. My wife had already purchased the items that I had already picked out. She knew that I was upset and I was not going to buy anything.
Now I realize a buisness owner has the right to let who ever they want use there facilities. But come on a little kid who is doing the pee pee dance. I will not go back to that card shop. It just struck me harsh.
Now I feel better for venting.

Sounds pretty pathetic to me mate .... I would be like you and not go back to store. If he won't let your kid use toilet, why should you line his pockets

I'm with you on this one...That owner doesn't know who will and won't clean up after themselves..To many bad expierences, I work at a LCS/sports store myself, luckily its in a complex so theres places next door that have public restrooms, the store I work at doesn't have public restrooms though. Just one in the back

Well it might be a two way street, but that goes for th customer too. So if it's worth it to lose his business, then that's his choice. But treat enough people like that and h won't hav to worry about cleaning the bathroom, he won't own one to clean.

LOL, hey if they wont let you go in the building, then you go on the building, even write your name in cursive and dont forget to dot the I. treat ignorance with ignorance, you dont do that crap to innoscent kids! and for all those shop owners who dont let little kids use the bathroom, I hope ya never have to drop a deuce while in my store, cry me a river, oh no! WHAT IF THEY PEE ALL OVER THE SEAT? IF YOUR A GUY AND CAN HONESTLY SAY YOU HIT THE TOILET EVERYTIME WITHOUT A DRIP HITTING ANYTHING BUT WATER YOUR A LIAR! if you think so, your wives or girlfriends would probably disagree, after all most of us on here are probably guys and its hard enough for us to even remember to lift the seat up, let alone not pee all over it,and where do all those nasty boogers come from, every bathroom in america all over always have boogers wiped above the urinals, and they are too high up there to be wiped by a little kid. HMMMMMMM, it must be a guy thing I dunno. hahahaha Im on a roll now, preach on brotha rick,we's feelin it now. anyways I have 5 kids, and if I was in the same position and it was one of my kids, Id look right in the card shop owners eyes and say HEY! its either your floor or your toilet, little ones gotta go, bet he woulda changed his mind really fast especially if his store was carpeted, bottom line,no joking aside I hate people that are ignorant to kids, this guy wouldnt ever get another dime from me and Id let it be known to him,its your dollars that keep that toilet running, and in retail Ive realized the customer is not obligated to shop at my store! they choose to, there are 20 diffrent auto parts stores in my town, and because how I treat them they come back. justinwalker1 rookie I got your back on this one

Maybe he was having a rough day.
In any event, it didn't work out for either party here.
I'll keep you in mind, hopefully you can have a change of heart.

with this holier than attitude i wouldnt want you to shop in my place of business..honestly your there to browse/buy...not pee in the bathroom. its my perogative to keep customers from my bathroom..i make 98% total sales from online sales anyways and they dont complain about the bathroom..and i dont even make my money from the shop...i do have a scrap business that i make my living off of...the shop is just icing or cough cough tax deductions cough..so if your ever in the central iowa area please keep that lousy 200 dollars in your pocket if it means my bathroom will stay clean
