Hockey Heroes - but that has as much to do with the legacy of this set (Brett Hull in 1991 was the first one) than anything else.

Same here!
Every release for me is a fixture since Brett Hull in 1991.
Some of the biggest pull of my life had been from this set (Yzerman Auto /19 & Orr Auto /90)
I really hope one day UD will make a Joe Sakic Heroe Set with a few Joe cards in a Nords uniform. It would be great!I collect the following:
- Vintage (Stars and RC)
- 2010-11 ITG Decades (Auto, GU, bases)
- Stars from the 1980s (in modern sets)
- Montreal Canadians Legends (bases, inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)
- Montreal Canadiens actual players (inserts, parallels, #, RC, Auto, GU)

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but there's a lot of nice insert sets in their products that are tailor-made for the various niches of the hobby. I haven't really yet had a strong Panini non-auto/non-mem subset that really jumped out at me, and I will concur with the earlier mention of the Clear Cut Winners set as far as UD goes. But as a guy that collects a goalie first and foremost, anything tailored to that need gets a bump. I still have my Patrick Roy Pro Set Mask card too. LOL
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Was that tongue-in-cheek? Either way I knew you were going to rep hard for BTP. I've seen enough of your posts/articles in passing to know at least that much... ; )Last edited by RiceBondsMntna2Rice; 05-27-2011 at 11:07 PM.

i just starting collecting a few insert sets to keep things interesting and im doing these since they are a few of my favorite: 11 crown royale razor choice /99 die-cut, the net brawlers inserts, and also the new contenders leather larceny both the inserts and autos /50
